About Us
Padangbolasepak.com, Malaysian football activist account. Started out as a microblogging Twitter account. Founded in 2014. With the purpose of providing non-Bahasa Malaysia speaking audience an outlet to discuss about Malaysian football, in the third most wide speaking native language in the world, English. Through its main social media platform, Twitter is a powerful communication tool that has dramatically changed how information is shared and spread online. Twitter functions as crowd-driven trend barometer, an information and discussion hub.
Since then Padang Bola Sepak, have cultivated a combined following of 45,000 and counting from Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Majority of that 34,000 are from Twitter alone.
From a live-tweeting Malaysian football matches, and had expanded into other areas in football, especially community, in particular, the Selangor Champions League by Selangor Youth Community (SAY) and Football Selangor (FS). Founded by one sole person, Khalilul Rahman (Khal), now after experiencing Malaysian football for the past 4 years over varying levels, especially on community football, Khal has expanded his team, in view of more people joining to assist in this collective football endeavour.
