Now, what does a community partner entails? Wait, before I proceed, a throwback to something I wrote back in 2016 after the 2016 Selangor Champions League Final.

Looking back, I am amaze on how far it has come since and continues to grow. And I am happy to still be apart and working with them to grow the football community in Selangor.

Now, as a community partner to the Selangor Champions League. We work to assist Selangor Champions League wherever we can with the resources and skill we have in our arsenal. Be it expertise in certain areas or physical man-power. As long as it adds and benefits the competition for the community going forward.

2017, we were able to live stream half of the matches, churn out match highlights game in and game out, and more. Wonderfully, the 2017 winner, earned a spot in the Malaysia FA Cup, first amateur team in Malaysia to participate

The 2018 edition, introduced live streaming matches for all matches. Fantasy Football, with thousands of active users playing Fantasy Selangor Champions League, and more. Then synergising Football Selangor and Football Association of Selangor to organise Hari Bola Sepak Selangor 2018, to celebrate Selangor Football. With the launching of the third Selangor FA kit, street soccer, freestyle, e-sports, forums, clinics, the best of Selangor amateur versus the best of Terengganu amateur and the main event, the vibrant Selangor Champions League final between two community teams. That poured thousands, Puchong Fuerza and KRU (Kampung Raja Uda) FC.

Continuously humbled at the amount of support and reception there is for this competition. Yes, there are criticism on some aspects, will work hard to narrow the deficit and keep the operations always honest to the sport.

For 2019, everyone behind the scenes is working hard and preparing, preparing, preparing, to provide the best in quality of what we have to offer to the Selangor Football community. A number of exciting things are cooking up that we want to deliver and serve.

Personally, not going to lie, it will be a long period for most of us. But we knew what we got ourselves into, and we are working together as a team to taking on this collective challenge for the community.

The quote above that was written in 2016, it went well in 2017, and kept going strong in 2018. Will continue to do so in 2019. And hopefully, beyond.
