Travelling and sports are both often under appreciated once its not easily accessible to us. Just like anything else in our daily life. If we were to combine travelling and sports together, it would be a dream come true for most people. In many ways, for them they will feel like a miniature professional athlete. Instead of being paid for playing a game, they are paying to play a game. This will range from football, futsal, basketball and rugby, running, swimming and golf. Each sport has its own hierarchy of leagues, policies and costs.

Anap Travel had conducted a survey to find out the incorporation of travel and sports together. The idea was to see if people would be interested to travel and play sports and ultimately spend a portion of their earnings for a complete sports tour or travelling package outside Malaysia. From the 112 responses, there were mixed opinions but 74.1% would want to invest their money and time to travel to play sports.

One.

To learn the sports culture of other countries and meet new people would be one of the reasons people would travel to play sports. This opportunity is definitely the best and easiest way for people to socialize no matter their background is. The experience gained would also be valuable to the people involved as each country has their own pros and cons such service facilities and environment. Sports itself has its wide range of activities and to each individual, they have their own preferences. 23.2% and 10.7% had chosen football and futsal respectively out of the 112 responses.

Two

At the end of the day, the monetary value required for this would be vital. Some would argue they are not as interested as they can still play here in Malaysia. Health reason is another thing that must be put on the list especially with the tendency of getting injured is higher. Sometimes it is not convenient because people often travel to relax and more family bonding. So how much do people are willing to spend for a complete sports tour or travelling package outside Malaysia? A majority of 41.1% out of the 112 responses sees that a package range from RM500 to RM1000 is feasible for them.
