#NWCCFIFA20 - New Waves Community Cup FIFA 20

APRIL 29, 2020 - As football around the world is put on hold due to the global crisis against Covid19 is taking place. There are communities all over Malaysia are coming together building a digital platform through the high popular football video game by Electronic Arts, FIFA 20. Brand New Waves Running Club proudly presents New Waves Community Cup FIFA 2020 (#NWCCFIFA20).

“As a sports community, our objective has always been and always will be about bringing communities together. Enter: #NWCCFIFA20. Our first dive into E-Sports.

#NWCCFIFA20 will be 100% virtual, interactive and entertaining. Matches will be live-streamed (with commentator) via Facebook featuring special guests, artists, national football and futsal players not only local but international! #NWCCFIFA20 will also feature community partners from various industries to bring another level of value to the competition. Like nothing you’ve ever seen before.”

Brand New Waves have partnered up with KITAMEN as co-organisers, Balrz.tv as official broadcasters, ZUSH as official jerseys and together with various community partners.

Immediately after their announcement they have initiated a campaign called, “Gamer Are Athletes Too“. An effort to bridging gaps, creating awareness, and creating bonds among communities as per the collective objective of invoking the spirit togetherness especially during these strange and difficult times.

When registrations opened on April 25, 2020, it took less than a day to gather up 64 participants. Tonight, 10pm, April 29, they will live stream the group drawing across the facebook pages of Brand New Waves, KITAMEN, and Balrz.tv. More details of the competition is to be revealed during the live stream.
