Throwback (This was written back in March 6, 2014) - 2015 AFC Asian Cup qualification Final group game for Group D FT: Yemen 1-2 Malaysia. "Menang tapi gagal."

Down to 10 men within the first 10 minutes, regardless the team picked themselves up, played their hearts out. Heads & hearts did sank when Yemen scored the equaliser. Malaysia regrouped & kept at it.

9th minute Amiriduzuan Taj gets sent off for being the last man.

10th minute penalty save by Khairul Fahmi Che Mat.

15th minute Malaysia’s Nazrin Nawi free kick embarrassed the Yemen goalkeeper. Which then rebounded toward Amri Yahyah to head tap in Malaysia’s opening goal.

59th minute Malaysia’s lapse in concentration got paid when Yemen levelled the score.
Then on the 76th minute up steps the hero,, Fakri Saarni scored the winner for Malaysia with a cool finish #DareToFakri

Congrats to the whole team, wasn't any individual effort. The whole team did what they were set out to do. Also congrats to Interim head coach Ong Kim Swee on his first win! And to former head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal for building a squad for Harimau Malaya to be proud of.

So did we qualified for Australia 2015? Nope, we got third in the best third placing, a point behind the top two. Overall had a decent campaign, best of any South East Asian team with 7 points on the board.
