On June 8, 2021 - we decided to organise a Twitter Space program, “Komentator Liga Sosial - Suara Bola Sepak Komuniti“ with the objective to give the community grassroots commentators a platform to share their experiences, their work, their ambitions, and inspire others to take the initiative to be a part of football. Be it as a commentator, director, producer, statistics collector, and more.

As the moderator it was great listening to everyone again and for them to share with over 50 people throughout the Twitter Space program. Technically, the first ever Padang Bola Sepak dot com Twitter Spaces program.

Throughout the Twitter Spaces program that lasted for about 90 minutes from 10:00pm until 11:30pm. There were a lot of values exchanged and shared through their individual journeys . To which converged with others to form a collective journey. A collective journey that has helped each other within this circle of commentators. Providing opportunities, contributing towards a shared knowledge about the community grassroots developments, training with each other to formulate a cohesive partnership on air, cultivating teamwork, and more.

Ever since the end of the group stage of the 2019 Selangor Champions League - I jotted massive plans for them as well as working out ideas on how to grow this circle. Bringing in more people so that there is a better pool of off the field media talents for grassroots football and grassroots sports. That will eventually flourish towards the professional level. And they achieve their ambitions of commentating a Malaysia Super League match or final or even go regionally and internationally. Then after a certain period of time they will evolve to become teachers, producers, and other aspects of the media production. To prepare the following generation of commentators and media enthusiast to be a part of sports.

When you think about it - provided that the investment towards sports becomes democratic and comprehensive. The sports industry can have a quality professional and integrated media talent pool. A Malaysian system that keeps building itselft and that can outsource our talents to other nations in the region and beyond. For now, it’s to make sure that every community and every state has a minimum number of media talents on and off screen to produce their own sports broadcasting ecosystem.

Hopefully, as things slowly return - we are able to resume serving football and together we bring in more passionate, hard working, and talented men and women to come in.

Aiman Roshizam, Azri Firman, Firdaus Musa, Ganesan Poologanathan, Misdianto, Nurudin Albakri, Wan Khairil Azwa, & more. Thank you for the Twitter Space as well as your service towards football. We keep going and growing the beautiful game, together.
