Collaborative Partnership for Recreational Grassroots Sports

SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR, OCTOBER 29, 2023 - We are excited to announce a significant partnership between the Football Association of Selangor (FAS), Kita-untuk-Kita (K2K) by Think City, and the Malaysian Association of Recreational Sports / Padangbolasepak.com-Rekreasi (PBS-Rekreasi) aimed at fostering and enhancing communities through sports. This partnership underscores the commitment of three leading organisations to promote grassroots recreational sports.

This partnership is remarkable because FAS and MARS have collaborated closely with Think City since July 2023 for Think City's Kita Untuk Kita (K2K) Open Day. K2K is a program developed by Think City in collaboration with the World Bank to facilitate poverty exit and reverse the social, economic, and physical decay in public housing schemes.

As of October 29, 2023, we have successfully organised six K2K Open Days. These events featured Futsal Clinics, Free Sporting Play, and special appearances by former Selangor players who inspired the children in K2K open day locations. Our shared vision is to continue delivering sustainable programs in the near future.

The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of recreational grassroots sports development. FAS, Think City, and MARS are dedicated to working together to enrich the lives of community members through sports, fostering teamwork, resilience, and personal growth.
