Hands On Community Heroes
The first session of the day was led by three inspiring community heroes: Izzat Salihuddin, founder of SWAT FC (Soccer With Attitude); Riqzuan Aqif, founder of RA Rehab & Fitness; and Azzairi Rosle, Chief Operating Officer of ESM Internationale. During the session, they emphasized the importance of leading by example through positive behavior, giving back to the community, and fostering a greater future driven by collective efforts and community leadership.
Passion to Profit
The second session of the day was led by two accomplished entrepreneurs, Samuel Siew, CEO of Courtsite, and Han King, founder of Titan Apparels. Both have successfully carved a niche in the local sports business scene by turning their passion into profit. They shared insights on understanding market demands, addressing consumer needs, and adopting smarter strategies to generate revenue.
Breaking Into Sports Media
The third session of the day was led by Firdaus Musa, the man who gave the nation goosebumps during Lee Zii Jia's bronze medal triumph at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Firdaus shared his inspiring journey into the world of sports commentary—from his humble beginnings covering grassroots football at the Selangor Champions League to becoming a prominent sports personality on Radio Televisyen Malaysia’s (RTM) national lineup.
Careers in Sports Industry
The fourth session of the day took on a different format, presented as a live podcast recording. Hosts Haresh Deol and Rizal Hashim of the Julang Podcast delved into the current landscape of the sports industry. They shared candid insights about potential pathways for the community, the evolving dynamics of the field, and emerging careers like sports science and beyond.
Women in Sports
The final session of the day featured three inspiring women from different starting points who now share a common goal in their careers. Noraidillina Adila, a former national cyclist and now personal coach; Daphne Ng, a former national badminton player and now head coach of her badminton academy, Duo Sparks; and Nor Aqilah, a team manager and coach at Curves Malaysia, shared their journeys. They discussed the stigmas they faced, the ways they overcame these challenges, and their ongoing efforts to make women’s participation in sports more viable.
