Liga Teqball Malaysia 2025: A Step Forward for the Nation’s Teqball Scene

Klang, Selangor | 24–26 October 2025 — The stage was set at KSL Esplanade Mall, Klang, as the nation’s finest teqers gathered for the Liga Teqball Malaysia 2025, a three-day showcase of agility, precision, and flair on the curved table.

Organized by the Malaysia Teqball Association (MTA), powered by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), and supported by Rakan Muda and the Fédération Internationale de TEQBALL (FITEQ), this year’s edition stood as a reflection of how far the sport has come, and how much further it aims to go.

A Weekend of Skill and Spirit

Across the three days, the competition featured Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles categories, each match delivering thrilling rallies and sportsmanship that drew the attention of mallgoers and fans alike.

The event not only highlighted the technical side of teqball but also its community-driven nature, where passion, teamwork, and fair play took center stage.

Day Two: A Symbolic Boost for the Sport

A significant moment took place on the second day when Mr. Abd Aziz Abd Rahman, Timbalan Ketua Pengarah, Bahagian Pembangunan Sukan, Jabatan Belia dan Sukan Negara, presented a cheque/grant to Mr. Siva Kumar Jakarathan, President of MTA.

This gesture represented more than just financial backing, it was a symbolic push for the growth of teqball in Malaysia, especially at the grassroots level, as the nation works towards nurturing future talents and elevating the sport to greater heights.

Sunday Finals: Champions Rise

The finals on Sunday brought the best out of every competitor, with emotions running high and skill shining brightest under pressure.

Final Results:

  • Champion: Perlis Northern Lions

  • Runner-up: MBPJ Black Widow

  • 3rd Place: Kedah White Eagles

  • 4th to 8th: Nine Stags, DBKL Hunter, Johor Rising Tigers, UM Bison

Women’s Singles

  • Champion: Nur Natasha Amyra (Perlis Northern Lions)

  • Runner-up: Nur Batrisyia Afrina (MBPJ Black Widows)

  • 3rd Place: Nine Stags

Men’s Singles

  • Champion: Azmilaan (Perlis Northern Lions)

  • Runner-up: Nur Hidayat Ar Rasyid (MBPJ Black Widows)

  • 3rd Place: Mohd Hanifah (Nine Stags)

Women’s Doubles

  • Champion: Nur Natasha Amyra & Siti Asnidah (Perlis Northern Lions)

Special awards were presented for:

  • Fair Play Team: DBKL Hunter

  • Most Valuable Player (Male): Nur Hidayat Ar Rasyid (MBPJ Black Widows)

  • Most Valuable Player (Female): Nur Natasha Amyra (Perlis Northern Lions)
