On the night of Friday, 4th July, PadangBolaSepak held its first-ever introductory lacrosse session in collaboration with the Malaysia Lacrosse Association, powered by our new hydration partner, Walker’s Drinks, at Stadium Hoki Tun Razak. This marked the first recreational session for July 2025.

The Malaysia Lacrosse Association is the national governing body for lacrosse in Malaysia, dedicated to growing the sport across all ages and backgrounds. From weekly training sessions to international competitions, the association is actively shaping a new legacy for lacrosse in Asia.

Their development pathway spans from grassroots to elite levels — starting with youth teams and progressing to both men’s and women’s national teams. For those curious about the sport, they also host beginner-friendly sessions every Sunday morning, making it easy for anyone to pick up a stick and give lacrosse a try.

During the session, the community were introduced to four key fundamentals of lacrosse, guided by Jake. These basics form the foundation of the sport, starting with passing and catching the ball, followed by learning how to cradle (a technique to keep the ball secure while moving), and lastly, how to scoop up ground balls effectively during play.
