Inilah Saya: A Celebration of Malaysian Football with Coach Datuk K. Rajagopal

PadangBolaSepak (PBS) was honored to be a part of a truly special event: the meet and greet and book signing for Coach Datuk K. Rajagopal’s autobiography, Inilah Saya. The event, held at BookXcess, MyTOWN KL, was a celebration of a man who has given so much to Malaysian football.

It was an immense privilege for our founder, Khal, to take on the role of emcee for the afternoon. Khal described the experience as a "holding midfield role," a fitting football metaphor for his position in guiding the conversation and celebrating the coach's legacy. This wasn't the first time Khal had the honor of working with Datuk Rajagopal; he also moderated an event with him back in 2017 for Selangor Football Day. The opportunity to once again share a stage with the legendary coach was truly humbling.

The afternoon was filled with engaging stories and insights from Datuk Rajagopal himself. Attendees had the chance to hear directly from the coach who led Malaysia to one of its greatest chapters, including the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup victory. His book, Inilah Saya, offers an intimate look into his journey, and it was a fantastic opportunity for fans to get their copies signed and connect with the man behind the triumphs.

Adding to the excitement, two Malaysian football icons, Safee Sali and Zaquan Adha, were also in attendance. The presence of these key players from that historic 2010 squad made the event even more memorable for everyone there.

PBS extends its heartfelt thanks to the coach’s representatives for reaching out and inviting us to be a part of this significant event. It was a pleasure and an honor to celebrate the legacy of a man who is not only a brilliant coach but also a kind human being.

The event was a beautiful reminder of the passion and history that defines Malaysian football, and we were thrilled to play our part in it. We wish Coach Datuk Rajagopal all the best with his book!
