Through The Eyes: Liga Gila Edition One Round 2

Another week has gone by and round 2 of Liga Gila Edition One has arrived. The weather was much better, although the day was cloudy. Despite the signs, the waterworks never came from the clouds. Finally, a time where it doesn’t rain on the day of chill football.

To further bring some more excitement, I decided to bring my Bluetooth speaker. Why? To play the Malaysia Football League theme. Every time a player scores in a league match, the theme plays. So why not bring that match atmosphere to Liga Gila? My hope was that there will be a lot of goals so I can play the music. Because of this, I’m technically the sound crew.

Guess what? We do witness a good amount of goals in this round. It was the Titans and Tune Squad kicked-off the first period. The Titans played very well and was up 2-0 at one point, only for Tune Squad to complete the comeback at 2-2. The highlight of this half though wasn’t the goals; it was Rauf of Tune Squad getting booked for overacting (I think) much to the pleasure of some people by the touchline. Yes, I also celebrated, but not as wild as the others.

Little did everyone know that something better was going to happen in the 2nd period. It was the Mighty Ducks Vs. Tune Squad and the goal of the edition came in this half. Muzakkir of The Mighty Ducks scored a beautiful looping header. The problem was that it was into his own net. Everyone had a good laugh about it at Muzakkir’s expense. Sorry bro.

Third period came and the score between the Ducks and the Titans ended in a 1-1 draw. Unfortunately I couldn’t remember what exactly happened in that period because the two wacky highlights completely left a lasting impact in my mind. I truly apologize.

Think I can safely say this round was much better and more fun than last week. Hope the final round of this edition can top this. Here’s to more fun and excitement.
