Liga Gila: Thank You Note
After commissioning two Liga Gila editions, programs in the past, and hopefully more in the future, I want to say thank you to everyone who has put their time in to commit as well as trust towards the objectives, vision, and values of this school of social-recreational football. We wouldn't be able to achieve this level of collective joy that we had developed together over the Liga Gila editions along with the football and futsal programs without you all.
To tell you all the truth, the decision to create a football environment of this scale and this approach is not simple. The scale has always been limited due to the availability of resources, be it internal and external. The approach has always been straightforward while at the same time being routinely difficult. It takes a huge toll to be an organizer. Despite that, periodic success like seeing people getting to play football with joy and sincerely getting to know each other through playing like those days back at the taman does brings an organizer with this sort of objective, vision, and values fuel to keep on going.
Going forward as an organizer, will accordingly improve elements of administration and pass on the knowledge to genuine people aspiring to do something similar in their own region, to grow an environment, and to develop a community. To be an organizer who advocates collective play, encouraging diversity, being positive and progressively supportive no matter the adversity, no tackle rule so that a past or pending trauma is minimize, and more, the organizer must be accessible and firm.
Before ending, I want to say thank you to the venue management at UM Park for accommodating us since Edition One, and going forward future editions. Additionally to the referees for being such great sports! Not to forget our sponsors, Cempaka Schools for assisting and supporting the ideals that we share collectively.
Thank you, until the next one!
Love and regards, Khal.
