About 6 weeks away from our league to start. Has there been indications that we are on track? After a disappointing 2020 - our leaders in football needs to help up to show that there actually care for our local football and not see it go to waste in flames.
Read MoreFirst game post Mesut Ozil and I think we got away with that one. In football, you need a bit of luck.
Read MoreGood day to everyone reading it has been quite a long while since I wrote anything that is subjectively meaningful on the website. A website that actually has a sizeable financial investment that is currently lacking content. No thanks to the pandemic and the mishandling of the pandemic by the authorities, but that couldn’t be the case. There should always be ways to keep being creative. Provided that one’s mental health decays it has been difficult to galvanise efforts to put up and churn up content on the site or creating meaningful initiatives.
Read MoreMesut Özil's departure to Turkish club, Fenerbahçe is a deal done and dusted. An annoyingly extended procedure of a painfully expanded departure that everyone had saw it coming since the Project Restart took place. The end is inevitable. What bothers me the most is about how it could've ended yet how it actually ends. Written by Isyhraff Marwan

Read MoreAs the Malaysian Super League teams are preparing for the 2021 season due to the premature end of this year’s campaign. Some players have already given indication that they would with the most notable departure being Dickson Nwakaeme from Pahang, announcing the end of his 2nd stint with Pahang on his Instagram account.

Read MoreSelangor looks like they have got used to the way they play. Selangor calmly played from the back as their defence did well to pass around the ball and launch the passes to get the attack going. The transition of their attacks were pretty swift and against a tricky opponent like Melaka, they played their football well and greatly tested the Melaka backline with their direct football. Even their counter attacks were brilliant when Wan Zack Haikal fooled every Melaka defender when he opted to pass to Ifedayo Olusegun instead of shooting so that the Nigerian forward could open the scoring.
Read MoreWhatever Pahang had in mind to deter Kedah’s attack, it certainly didn’t work. It didn’t look like Pahang got their defensive shape in check consistently especially and more importantly in this context, in dealing with any aerial balls Kedah has to offer. This proved to be their undoing as they conceded all three goals thanks in part to Kedah's aerial deliveries. First, Pahang criminally allowed defender Shakir Hamzah to score a free header to put the home side ahead.
Read MorePerak started off brightly in the first 25 minutes. It was all them as they had an estimation of 95% of attacks in favor of them within their time period while Kedah had trouble in getting through the Perak half. Then against the run of play, Kpah Sherman put The Eagles ahead after outmuscling Idris Ahmad and rounded Hafizul Hakim despite being alone against three defenders. It became more difficult for the Bos Gaurus when Kedah carved them up to score their second minutes after their first when Baddrol Bakhtiar’s incisive through pass found Fadzrul Danel who attacked the empty space inside the Perak box before he slammed it into the roof of the net.
Read MoreIt’s been three weeks since the uproar surrounding the departure of B. Sathianathan as Selangor head coach. Michael Feichtenbeiner, the Selangor FA technical director is assigned as the caretaker head coach for the main team. Since he took over, there have been encouraging signs on the way Selangor plays. After tonight, the signs were even more positive. Especially in the way they transition to attack.
Read MoreGiven the way the game is going, you wouldn’t expect Perak to actually comeback from a rather big deficit as they haven’t troubled Pahang enough. But magically, they were able to nick a point under the trunks of Tok Gajah with a spectacular turnaround from 3-0 down to 3-3.
Read MoreTo be fair to Selangor, they actually did well to hold off Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) for almost the entire first half. There wasn’t a decisive chance by the home side until just before half-time. The thing is, there was a strong air of controversy surrounding the first two goals (And we’ll go into that next). But when the third goal was lashed in by Diogo Luis Santo, that’s when everything fell apart.
Ex-Bluewings utility player Park Kun-ha, who only has little managerial experience, was thrust into a big match immediately with the Super Match as his first game in charge of the Bluewings as he tries to steer the team away from the relegation zone. The match graphic showed Kun-ha went for a 3-4-3 formation, but in out of possession, the Bluewings fell back to a 5-4-1 formation with a standard defensive line.

Read MoreYep. It’s that old tale of two halves. The first 45 minutes were very labored and it needed something to make it alive. The way both sides are set up is definitely a factor to why the match has not been eventful (Which we’ll go into later). Kedah definitely had most of the ball but failed to trouble that FELDA backline enough while Felda looked content to try and attack on the break, but they do have one problem which again, we’ll go into later. Eventually, we finally did see the first highlight when FELDA took the lead just before half-time.
Terengganu’s defeat at Melaka last week made things more difficult for the Turtles to maintain a title challenge. Now, it’s surely all but over. A seventh league title in a row beckons for the Southern Tigers after a slim 1-0 win and in doing so, opened up an eight point-gap over 2nd place occupied by Perak after their 1-0 win over UiTM while Terengganu drops down the table. They can seal the title with a win over FA Selangor next week who is set to miss Brendan Gan due to suspension and also are greatly struggling to impose themselves should results elsewhere favor them starting with Kedah’s match with FELDA tomorrow.
